When I first reached out to ECOsystem Group, my son, Ibrahim, was struggling significantly in school. He was failing many of his classes, and I was looking for someone who could provide him with the encouragement, guidance, and support he needed to get back on track.
I am so grateful that I connected with Lawrence and that Ibrahim became part of the ECOsystem Group. Ibrahim was matched with a mentor, Damon, who, along with Lawrence, invested time and energy into helping him grow—not only academically, but personally as well.
They encouraged Ibrahim, helped him set meaningful goals, and worked with him to develop the confidence and discipline to reach those goals. Their support extended beyond schoolwork. They spent time with him on weekends, held Zoom calls with him, checked in on his progress, and celebrated his accomplishments. When Ibrahim met his goals and made improvements in school, they recognized and rewarded his efforts. That positive reinforcement made a tremendous difference.
The results were remarkable. Ibrahim went from failing most of his classes to passing all of his classes at the end of the semester. More importantly, he developed a stronger belief in himself and learned that setbacks did not have to define him.

“I was compelled to share how truly appreciative and grateful I am for the opportunity for my 16 year old son and I have had to partner with Lawrence Yard, Founder and Mentor of the ECOsystem Group, There are a few people that would make it their mission to give back to young men and add inspiration to those that may not have strong male role models in their home. Sometimes to reach a young person it goes beyond, the weekly zoom meetings. My son, Chris is bit more reserved and it takes a little time to warm up to new people. During the ECOsystem Group ECO-trip to Martha’s Vineyard, Chris had opportunity to bond with Lawrence Yard, Founder and Mentor of the ECOsystem Group. He learned about SMART goals and utilizing his summer job by creating a saving goal. He was engaged, interested, and motivated in his young future. He was also very happy to go, riding on a ferry, visiting Martha’s Vineyard, and eating Lobster for the first time. “My son, Jayden is a mentee of the ECOsystem Group. I feel the group has helped Jayden in many different ways. The ECOsystem has weekly zoom meetings every Wednesday. These meetings help Jayden with scheduling because he needs to plan his day. Jayden has learned time management, different ways to save and as well as practicing public speaking in front of the group.”Jayden has been more focused on goal setting, career aspirations, and what it takes to be successful in life.
